List the names of those supporting you.

My Mom is the biggest influence, to me, she is always on my back about everything, but she only wants what’s best for me. I appreciate her a lot.

I wouldn’t be able to do music if it wasn’t for my Stepdad, he is also a massive inspiration to me as well.

My Dad and Stepmom have always been there supporting my DJing and music from the start. I learned to DJ from my Dad, and I appreciate and miss him a lot.

My Brother and Sister.

My Grandparents

My Aunt, Uncle, and Bailey

My Girlfriend and her Wonderful family.

My Friends

Apollo, Aaron, Cam, Sachin, Rob, Dali, Ben.

Without these guys I couldn’t do what I do.

And of course, Olivia Rose, who has a massive career ahead of her!

From messing around with his Dad’s DJ equipment at the age of 7, to being obsessed with music from early age, “Marc Samuel” is an homage to the past.

Nostalgia plays a key role in Marc’s day to day life, whether through fashion or music.

His main goal is to reinvigorate the same emotions he felt listening to old hits in his own way through his own music.

His goal is to touch the musical soul of as many people as possible through rhythm and melodies.

The end goal is to create to inspire millions.

Tell us your recording experience in the studio.

I’ve been recording in studios for around a year and a half now. Anything from guitars to drums and vocals. I even try and outboard some of my mixes when I can.

Tell us your experience with the music industry.

I have been DJing since I was young, doing odd gigs here and there. As I am early in my career, I am yet to get the full experience of the music industry.

Discuss live instruments for recording in the studio.

I haven’t really done this much in my Marc Samuel music yet, but I’ve used outboard Synths etc. for certain songs.

.

Tell us your plans in terms of your music career.

I want to create music that brings in all ages, creates nostalgia but still tries to push the sonics of music forward.

.

Tell us your worst experience in your music career.

DJing at a trampoline arena. It was awful.

.

Discuss your music career in detail.

My career as Marc Samuel is just getting started. I’m hoping to grow every time I release a new song as this is all still a learning curve for me.

Discuss your song and album.

I was on a plane back from the USA and I was so inspired by the time I spent with my cousin (He lives in Texas, so I don’t see him very much).

We spent time in America listening to his favourite Disco records and my favourite disco records.

I made the demo of the track on the plane and sent it to Olivia Rose.

She wrote this amazing catchy song that stayed in my head for months.

Six months later I listened to it again and then re-produced it. That’s how the track come to be, it’s just the feeling of a good time, without stress. That’s what music has always been about for me.

Tell us what fans are saying on your music.

The reaction was great, a lot of people messaged me saying they love the song. That means a lot.

.

.

.

Explain the title of the song.

The title came from the sample I found that repeated “you know” through a vocoder. I assume Liv got inspired by this, but I took it out in the released version.

.

State the reason you are into music.

Because of the power it has to change someone’s day. So many times, I’ve heard good music and it’s cheered me up. I hopefully want to do that one day.
